NSP Scholarship 2024: The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is a one-stop solution launched by the Government of India to provide various scholarships to eligible students across the country. The NSP aims to ensure timely disbursement of scholarships, avoid duplication in processing, and create a transparent system.

The primary objectives of the NSP Scholarship 2024 are to:


Streamline and simplify the scholarship application process for students.
Ensure timely disbursement of scholarships directly into the students’ bank accounts.
Provide a common platform for both Central and State Government scholarships.
Promote transparency and avoid duplication in the scholarship application process.
National Scholarship 2024-25 Dates
The National Scholarship Scheme 2024 apply online process has been started from 01 July 2024. Last date to apply for NSP Scholarship Online 2024-25 varies scholarship scheme wise.

Types of Scholarships under NSP 2024
NSP offers a wide range of scholarships catering to various categories of students, including:

1. Central Schemes: Scholarships offered by various central government ministries and departments.


2. State Schemes: Scholarships provided by different state governments.

3. UGC/AICTE Schemes: Scholarships offered by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Key Scholarships under NSP 2024
1. Pre-Matric Scholarships: For students from Class 1 to 10, primarily targeting students from minority communities and economically weaker sections.

2. Post-Matric Scholarships: For students from Class 11 to postgraduate levels, aimed at supporting higher education.

3. Merit-cum-Means Scholarships: For meritorious students from economically weaker sections pursuing professional and technical courses.

Documents Required
The documents required for each NSP scholarship may vary. However, some of the key documents that you must keep intact to make a successful application include –

Academic transcripts, including marksheets & transcripts
Aadhaar card
Bank passbook
Domicile certificate (if applicable)
Caste certificate (if applicable)
Income certificate (if applicable)
Bonafide certificate from school/institution (as applicable).

Application Process:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NSP (National Scholarship Portal) scholarships.gov.in.

Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Students‘ option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.

Step 3: Now, click on the ‘Login‘ button under the OTR option as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Step 4: Click on the ‘New user? Register yourself‘ on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.

Step 5: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the ‘Next‘ button.

Step 6: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.


Step 7: Fill in the required details and click on ‘Save & Register’ to complete the ‘One-time registration (OTR)’ process. (Note:This is a temporary registration number, students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)

Step 8: After successful registration, navigate to the ‘Apply for Scholarship‘ option and click on the ‘Login‘ button.

Step 9: Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.

Note:All the applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.
